Emily Smith, MD is a psychiatrist with AHN Behavioral Health, specializing in women’s mental health. She provides personalized care for perinatal and peripartum patients and applies best-practice techniques and procedures to help insure long-term patient outcomes.

She went to medical school at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After medical school she did her residency and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Smith is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She understands that while pregnancy and postpartum are often times of growth and opportunity, they can be an overwhelming time of stress where women need extra care and support. She is trained in child psychiatry and can see pregnant and postpartum patients under 18 years old as well as ages 18 and older.
